We have worked in the agricultural and pastoral industries for over 25 years. In that time we have seen many Working Kelpie Dogs. Some good, some great and some not so great. To achieve success in the breeding program consistency is the key to producing reliable, dependable all round dogs that are easy to train and work in both the paddock and yard. The Hawkesbury Working Kelpies fit the bill for your needs.
Promoting the Working Kelpie
We promote the working Kelpie by way of working dog demonstrations. Anthony had his Kelpie team at the 2011 Sydney Royal Easter Show. This was a big hit with show-goers with up to 600 people attending each demonstration. The feedback was positive. Anthony also demonstrates his Kelpies at local shows and field days.
Our History with Kelpies
Anthony and Jenny have had livestock and worked in many aspects of the livestock industry. We have owned dogs all our lives. We have used Kelpies throughout many years having had a livestock carting business where primarily we carted pigs. Our team of Kelpies played a big part. They unloaded the two decks of pigs and helped drive them up the long lane ways at the abattoirs. Our Kelpies also played a major part with the cattle feed lot we operated when we worked at the sale yards.
We are members of:
- the Working Kelpie Council of Australia
- the New South Wales Yard Dog Association
- the Australian Sheep Dog Workers Association Inc
